Sharing the puzzle pieces...
Well, we are supposed to work as a team, right? And we don't know what the items mailed to us are all about. What say we get together here and try to figure it out? Can we agree that we will all eventually need to know what each of the other players received in the mail? I'm still a little leery of giving away too much, not knowing what it is all about, but I'd like everyone to chime in what they think the mailing might be. I think it is a poster we are going to have to recreate. I received 4 puzzle pieces - 1 large rectangle piece 1 small rectangle piece 2 small red pieces, 1 with "I want" and a word starting with "d". 1 with "I want" and a word starting with "v". I was to list the players from favorite to least favorite on the large rectangle. I was to write a number from 1-8 on the small rectangle. Does that match what everyone else has? If someone else is brave enough to post more detailed descriptions of their pieces, I will too. |

Re: Sharing the puzzle

That what I got Andy....... What I was thinking the large rectangle piece was cut from a picture of something. I think if you put all of ours together it would be a poster of some sort... I think it might be a clue otherwise they could of used a blank sheet... Also the little square had a picture.... mine looked like a basketball net or something.. |

Re: Sharing the puzzle

You know, if you took a poster and cut it twice vertically and twice horizontally, it would divide up into 9 equal pieces - enough for one to each of us minus the mole.... (see diagram below) 1 | 2 | 3 --------- 4 | 5 | 6 --------- 7 | 8 | 9 My large piece would correspond to the #2 position, top center. It has the letters "ATIONAL SPAC" with a line underneath it (I'm guessing "National Space" with maybe a word before it and possibly "Program" after it. |

Max was there a hidden V-D clue in your post? Clever, but no matter how much vicariousness I have, I will never be able to work the word disco into a sentence. |

Re: Sharing the puzzle

Guys, I got the same thing that Andy described. But, My large piece was sort of non-descript--plain tan color--wood grain I suppose you would call it and the small piece had was fire --- |

Re: Sharing the puzzle

My small rectangle - and I'll ask you to take my word for it - who would make this up??? It appears to be a 1950's advertisement. A man is rubbing cream on his partially nude son. The caption reads, "There... that should remove the last of your back hair, Johnny." |

Re: Sharing the puzzle

OK Andy, that is hilarious. I am wondering though. I got all of the pieces that you got, however, my small rectangle was very small (less than 1 inch by 1 inch). Was yours bigger than that or how can you get that entire advertisement in that tiny piece of paper. By the way, my small rectangle was a football players face (eyes with the black under, nose and the helmet covering up the mouth). |

Re: Sharing the puzzle

Same stuff here - my large rectangle had what looked like a close up of a satellite in space. |

Re: Sharing the puzzle

My small rectangle had a picture of an eye on it. My large rectangle, where I wrote all of your names, was just like Max, misty blackish-greyish. |

Re: Sharing the puzzle

So Jim, I hope you included yourself on the list somewhere (the instructions did say to include everyone left in the game). But I'm kind of wondering - as much as he wanted us to rush it back (i.e., before the execution) if maybe Jackie's is the only one they really will be using... hmmmm |

Re: Sharing the puzzle

I didn't include myself on my list either. Since Andy didn't cover me, just add me to the TOP of my list, please, EQBeastlord. Thanks! |
