INTERSECTING IMAGES; the 3rd game
THE CLUE: The images of the crossword puzzle on the page.

THE GAME: For each player to solve one word in a large crossword puzzle.

The trick with this game was that they could only use visual clues instead of letters for the word.

Each player was given one of the clues for this giant crossword puzzle in his or her journal. The clues read 1down, 3across, etc. A list of who has which clue was provided at the bottom of the puzzle. Each player was responsible for deciding the answer to their individual clue. The player must then find an image on the Internet to represent each letter in the answer. For instance if the answer to the clue is CYBER, the player might find a carrot for C, a yard stick for Y, a bat for B, an ear for E, and a radish for R. Once the player found ALL the images for their word, they posted the image URL's (1 URL for each letter) to the message board.

The CyberMole staff then went to the URL's given and clipped out the images and added them to the puzzle for other players to use for help. If there was more than one image on a page players were told to be very specific on which image they wanted to use. For instance a player might post: www.yahoo.com use the top right image. This would lead us to the question mark which would represent the letter Q. Images were to be as square as possible since they were shrunk down to little square sized shapes. Any distortion was the fault of the player choosing that picture.
