madam_xelda says, "OK next the Beastlord will explain his Intermediate challenge and then I will explain the weekly one."

madam_xelda says, "They will all be posted to your message boards when you leave here so you will have the links and rules."

madam_xelda says, "The weekly one is called Intersecting Images"
madam_xelda says, "On the message board you will find a rather unusual crossword puzzle."
madam_xelda says, "The puzzle is a bit larger than you are used to."
vickie says, "im intrigued"
madam_xelda says, ". Each player will be assigned a clue to solve (there is 1 for each player..."
madam_xelda says, "and who has what clue is posted under the puzzle itself (these were assigned in no particular order"
madam_xelda says, "The clues will be posted to your journals."
vickie says, "can we see each others' clues?"
jaron says, "sounds cool"
madam_xelda says, "No"
madam_xelda says, ". To solve the clue you must find an image that represents each letter in the answer to the clue and post the URL's to the images."
eqbeastlord says, "7 people have started the Communications Calculations Puzzle"
madam_xelda says, "For instance: If the clue was what has 4 wheels and parks in your garage, the answer would be CAR."
madam_xelda says, "To solve the clue the player would post the URL's for images representing the letters C-A-R."
jaron says, "i hate computer-speak"
madam_xelda says, ". These could be for instance a carrot, an apple, and a raisin."
madam_xelda says, "We will then take these images and shrink them to fit in the puzzle blocks."
madam_xelda says, "Images should be as square as possible since we will shrink them to squares exactly as they appear on the URL's you send us and if you send us a rectangle, some distortion will occur when it is shrunk."
jim says, "Holy Moses.... how cool is this."
alec says, "i smell a twinkie"
max says, "hehe"
madam_xelda says, ". We will add each answer as soon as possible after it is posted (remember we have to sleep too) and once the images are posted the URL's will be removed from the thread."
madam_xelda says, "You have until 6PM CST Monday Aug 5 to complete this challenge. If you succeed $5.00 will be added to the pot."
eqbeastlord says, "9 people have started the puzzle."
vickie says, "when we send the url--will you know which image we want you to see or must it the image stand alone?"
phil says, "don't go to the puzzle people"
madam_xelda says, "URL's are the internet addresses... the www.whatever of the image"
phil says, "there is a counter against us"
madam_xelda says, "You must specify which image on a page"
eqbeastlord says, "10 people have started the puzzle."
phil says, "the intermediate challenge that is, don't go until your ready to do it"
phil says, "STOP"
madam_xelda says, "It is all or nothing, for the puzzle"
eqbeastlord says, "11 people have started the puzzle."
lisa_ says, "can we discuss the challenge with other players?"
rocky says, "So we give the address and say we want the Carrot for the C and then another address and say the Apple for the A"

madam_xelda says, "Be sure to read the rules completely"
phil says, "we only have till 14 people, stop going to the link"
max says, "well, now that they have started it, wouldnt it be best if they kept on?"

jim says, "Xelda, your challenge is the long one, and EQ's is the shorter one, right?"
phil says, "don't do EQ's yet"

cyclopsjester says, "there are 2 puzzles each with their own deadlines. one is called communications calculations, this is EQ's puzzle"
cyclopsjester says, "The other is Intersectng Images... this is Madam X's puzzle"
cyclopsjester says, "Both have their own deadlines. EQ's is a shorter deadline, Xeldas lasts all week."
jaron says, "guys...remember the waiting room clues"
cyclopsjester says, "Both puzzles are listed in their entirety in the message board section of the board, below general discussion and below the players journals"
cyclopsjester says, "the basics of which are this."
cyclopsjester says, "the url that EQ gave you is the puzzle. The moment you go there the puzzle starts... it will then be self explanatory what to do from that point. Once you start though, you are better off to finish. thus the number of hits already."
cyclopsjester says, "that url is repeated in the message board puzzles section under Communications calculations"
jaron says, "guys...i think we should all just do it now"
jaron says, "so as to need exceed 14 hits"
cyclopsjester says, "when your ready you to complete it you can use the url above or use the one in the message board section"
vickie says, "we will exceed no matter what now"
alec says, "just make sure you do it whenever you go"

cyclopsjester says, "the other puzzle is lengthier and xelda explained it fairly thouroughly.. BUT you can read all the intstructions under Intersecting Images"

max says, "as long as we all answer correctly, we should still net a good bit of money"
cyclopsjester says, "in the futre you will find all your puzzles listed this way"
cyclopsjester says, "does that help any?"
mark says, "I am not so sure about this"

cyclopsjester says, "well i probably shouldnt tell you this andy but there is a bonus for all players solving it. that rule is listed in the puzzle rules section of the message board, in the future you will need to check there first for all details."
jaron says, "let's elect one person (not me!)"

karen says, "I will do it in a little while"
mark says, "im out of here this is getting frustrating"
