On Monday, before the first challenge night, the players were officially allowed to begin posting in their message board area and journals. This was the first time for many of them to see the messaging system they would be using.
The "communications center", as it is called, consists of a general message area where all of the players can post openly, the journal section for each persons private thoughts about the game, the coalitions area where they can meet with their partners to discuss tactics in private, and a challenges area where their weekly puzzles would be listed in detail.
The players quickly began to share information about themselves and others and took turns asking various questions for the group to answer.
"Where did you hear about this game and why did you join?"
"Share something about yourself..."
"Talk about a brush with fame you might have had."
"How did you meet your significant other?"
It was here that they were instructed about some of the rules, the icons that would be used, and had the chance to ask questions. They were also introduced to some of the bonus items that would be available in the game. The Exemption symbol and the Neutralizer symbol.
In addition they were also shown 3 new symbols but were not told what they were.
